Critique

This oil painting was created by Kehinde Wiley and was titled Egyptian Landscape with Setting Sun. This was a portrait he did of someone while spending his time in Sri Lanka, looking for subjects to paint. I find this piece to be most interesting because of the way he paints the beautiful strangers hands and how you can see such minor details. His has a very unique style. He is able to create his portraits and make them look like they're about  to pop. The way he shades and highlights makes the portraits look very realistic. I aspire to paint like him one day and admire his painting process. It would be a great honor to meet him.
